She Can't Put Any Weight On One of Her Legs

Alison came from a terrible situation in rural Virginia where she and her two sisters were kept outside and not well taken care of. One of her sisters was killed by a coyote.

Alison and her remaining sister came to Homeward Trails a little over a week ago. Upon arrival, Alison's foster noticed that she was not putting weight on her left hind leg. A vet visit and x-ray revealed muscle wasting, a shorter leg compared to the right side, and a suspicious area in the hip bone. She will need to see an orthopedic specialist ASAP to figure out if it's the result of a fracture or other disease that would require surgery. We'll update this as we get more information, but first we need help covering her previous diagnostics and consult.
