Terrified & Abandoned, Tiny Puppy Needs Our Help!

Precious Almendra is a tiny 9 week old Shepherd puppy who was abandoned in Puerto Rico. This sweet girl is quite the warrior though. Almendra was terrified being alone up on a mountain on a rainy night. So scared that she screamed for hours on end trying to find anyone that could save her. Thankfully, a good Samaritan heard those cries for help and worked hard to find the desperate puppy. After following her howls and whines, two rescuers finally found the sad, wet Almendra under great distress after being alone and starving. The rescuers were rightfully so angry that whoever owned this sweet puppy just decided to dump her all alone in the wilderness. Thankfully, once rescued, Almendra was taken to the vet so she can now start her journey toward health. Homeward Trails heard about this little fighter and wants to be a part of her rescue story. The final leg of Almendra's new life is getting on a flight to Homeward Trails. Without her flight being paid for, this tiny pup won't stand a chance in getting adopted.
