Dear CYC Friends & Family,

It goes without saying that these are extremely uncertain times and our students need us more than ever.  Operating in this new normal not only requires a dedication to CYC’s core mission, but also requires the ability to shift quickly, redefine what success looks like and adapt to new ways on getting there. It’s an understatement to say that the path forward will be challenging, and although our commitment and resolve to help all of our students achieve their dreams is unwavering, now more than ever, we need your help.

What we know for sure is that education as we once knew it, will most certainly change. Students will need even more support to prevent a widening of the achievement gap, and to ensure that they are prepared to Enroll, Enlist or become Employed.  To do this, CYC will be future focused and reinvent how we provide mentoring, college preparedness and work readiness in ways that are aligned with new district needs, and with your help, we will be able to work to better prepare students to not only face the current challenges but to also be the change the world will need in the days ahead.

For over 30 years, The Cincinnati Youth Collaborative has used mentoring, college preparedness and workforce readiness to help over 180,000 young people overcome many difficult challenges to become the medical professionals, educators, military personnel, first responders, faith leaders, politicians and business leaders that make our city, region and nation great. We never thought a global pandemic would be counted among the challenges our students would have to face, but we remain committed that they will not face it alone.

Although the need is high, no amount is too small to ensure that CYC will always be here to help our students build brighter futures and achieve their dreams.
