T.J. Thornberry

T.J. Thornberry:

TJ Thornberry is a proud Charlotte County native, husband to his amazing wife Jackie, and a dad to two awesome daughters, Raelyn and Maecyn — who’ve been lucky bookworms thanks to the Imagination Library since the day they were born. Since portions of the proceeds go to the Imagination Library, this motivated TJ to join “the cause” and get out of his comfort zone with improv. 

By day, TJ operates Thornberry Custom Builders, Inc., helping people build their dream homes. TJ also serves as Commissioner of the Charlotte County Airport Authority, first appointed by the Governor, and then elected to a full term in 2024. TJ holds an MBA with degrees from The Florida State University and the University of North Florida. By night (or weekends), TJ enjoys spending time with his family and anything outdoors.  And, on Oct 24th (at show time), he’s diving headfirst into the wild world of improv — which, unlike homebuilding, has no blueprint, no plan, and definitely no permits. 

This is TJ’s first time on stage doing improv, so be kind, laugh loud, and remember: he’s just a dad trying his best, armed only with dad jokes and sheer willpower. He’s excited to be part of Comedy for a Cause and to support a program that’s meant so much to his family.
