2024 IEE

We believe that the mission of community media is to ensure that all voices are included and represented fairly in media – and that our organizations must represent the communities we serve.  For over 35 years, the Inclusion, Equity and Engagement Caucus of the Alliance for Community Media has been devoted to that notion, and that each individual has the ability and opportunity to work and contribute within the organization.  

The Caucus is made up of people who meet regularly to discuss matters of inclusion and equity within community media circles and strive to share knowledge, monitor issues, suggest relevant resources and promote dialogue in our field.   

In 2022, the Caucus has raised money to strengthen and intensify our training at the ACM National Conference with the help of Mia Henry and Freedom Lifted (https://learninglab.freedomlifted.com/courses/justice-at-work) .   

We want to continue to offer these kinds of learning opportunities in the coming year with your help.  

Your gift to the ACM Foundation’s Inclusion, Equity and Engagement Fund will allow us to provide more training and support for people in our field interested in inclusion and equity and building better communities and community media.  

If we reach our goal of $10,000 for either project, our matching pool gift is up to $1,500.00.
