Kellsie Marchbanks was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a form of childhood cancer at age 15. After undergoing a year of successful treatments, she lived cancer free for 4 years. However, her life was once again disrupted when the cancer returned. Despite this setback, Kellsie remained hopeful. Even in the midst of bad news, and more chemotherapy and radiation, she continued living her life and planned her wedding, and enrolled in Nursing School with hopes of becoming a pediatric oncology nurse. She also spent her time giving back to those who had generously given to her by volunteering and speaking at fundraisers for various organizations. Sadly, Kellsie was never able to have her dream wedding or graduate from nursing school, as she lost her battle with this unrelenting disease just shy of her 21st birthday. Today, the legacy of her giving spirit lives on through Kellsie's Hope Foundation helping children and their families battling cancer and funding childhood cancer research. Our mission is to provide hope to families that have children suffering from cancer by offering support for trips and gifts that might otherwise be unattainable. We are dedicated to raising awareness and funds to support childhood cancer research and support the education of healthcare providers with an annual nursing scholarship.
