Transitional Housing for Women & their Children

Founded in 2019, Blessings Working Together is one of few organizations in metro Atlanta devoted exclusively to the needs of parenting adolescents and their children. We provide counseling and life skills services with an additional focus on hands-on parent education and connections to community resources to help ensure that expectant and parenting families up to age 25 have access to all available health, education, and social services for which they are eligible.

By investing in teen parents today, Blessings Working Together protects the future of two generations: the young parents themselves and their babies. Supporting adolescent parents to get an education, acquire job skills, improve parenting abilities and prevent future pregnancies helps them become self-sufficient and better able to support themselves and their families. 

By 2025, it is Blessings Working Together’s strategic vision to establish an emergency and transitional housing facility to serve pregnant and/or parenting young women and their child(ren) who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness after a crisis (e.g., domestic violence, addiction, displacement) for up to 24 months as she transitions back to an independent lifestyle.
