At just three months old, Tate should be loving life from the safety of a home, chasing toys, learning his name, and falling asleep in someone’s lap. Instead, this sweet Shepherd mix was found all alone as a stray and brought to a rural Virginia shelter, where the sounds of barking dogs and the uncertainty of each passing day have become his entire world. No one knows how he ended up there or whether anyone ever came looking for him. All we know is that he is still just a baby, and he deserves so much more than growing up behind metal bars. In overcrowded rural shelters, puppies like Tate don’t always get the time they need to be noticed.
