In-person learning is back. Hillside kids need extra educational and emotional support this back-in-school season.

The start of the school year can be challenging for kids. Over the past year, kids across the nation adapted to virtual learning and  became isolated from the stabilizing influence of classroom learning and seeing their friends. As the world returns to in-person learning this year, children will need additional emotional and educational supports to cope with the stressors of yet more change in the post-pandemic world.

Between March 2020 and March 2021 Hillside received 3,270 admission request calls for our Residential Program . We know many kids are feeling anxious, depressed, and are unable to cope. We know that over the past year, children across the nation faced upheaval and uncertainty. We know that kids are struggling with their education as they navigate returning to in-person learning while trying to manage their mental health.

This August, the Hillside Atlanta Foundation is fundraising to support the Back-IN-School needs of our children and their families. Special thanks to a private donor for pledging to match donations up to $10,000. That means your donation will be doubled if we reach our goal!
