Baja Mexico Trip 2026 (Mark Young)

Hi everyone,

I hope you’re all doing well!

I’m writing to share some exciting news about a new chapter I’m about to embark on. In July 2026, I will be traveling to Ensenada, Mexico, as part of a mission team from Oak Pointe Church-Milford. We are partnering with Baja Bound, an organization that has been serving the Baja region for over 25 years, to bring physical and spiritual relief to families living in extreme poverty.

I am so passionate about this trip because many families in the agricultural areas of Ensenada are forced to live in unsafe, makeshift shelters made from tarps and scrap materials. Our team will be spending several days literally building homes from the ground up for multiple families in need. We will also be serving in local feeding programs and spending time with children in local orphanages.

Our mission at Oak Pointe is "Knowing Jesus and Making Him Known," and I believe this trip is a powerful way to put that into practice—not just through words, but through service and love.

I’m reaching out to ask for your help in two ways:

1. Prayer & Spiritual Support First and foremost, I would love your prayers. This is a big step for me, faith over fear and knowing I have a team of people cheering me on means the world. Please pray for:

• The Family: That their new home would be a place of stability and a reminder that they are seen and valued by God.

• Our Team: For safety during travel and construction, and for unity as we serve together.

• Our Hearts: That we would be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and show the love of Jesus in every interaction.

2. Financial Assistance To cover the costs of travel, lodging, meals, ministry resources, travel insurance and building materials, I need to raise $2000. Truthfully the actual cost is $3500. If you feel led or able to contribute financially, any amount—whether it’s $20 or $200—gets me closer to the goal of providing a "forever home" for a family.
