Dear Friends and family,

As some of you know, I am in end-stage renal failure, a disease I have been fighting for quite a while. My condition has progressed causing me to require dialysis three days a week for almost four hours each day. All things considered, I am doing fairly well, but the physical toll of treatment has left me unable to work and do the simple things I love such as fishing, traveling, and spending time on projects around the house. Now, my doctors have told me that a kidney transplant is necessary for me to have the best option for a long, healthy life.

Unfortunately, even with insurance, transplantation is extremely expensive. 

There are many out-of-pocket costs that include co-pays and deductibles, doctor visits, after care, and antirejection medications that I will have to take for the rest of my life. I still have hope and faith that I will be successful with this transplant. However, I cannot meet this challenge alone. I am asking for your help to offset my uninsured costs.

This fundraising page has been set up by my daughter Brittney (who I am so grateful for and wish to live long to see her accomplishments). All donations will go directly to assist with my kidney transplant costs at a medical facility, in which my name is on a list to receive a kidney. But, before I can accept a kidney offer, I am required to obtain the financial support to cover my out-of-pocket costs.  Once I have reached my goal, I will be able to proceed to the next step and hopefully begin a new journey and a new life with a new organ. It would mean the world to me to meet this goal so that I can live without illness and be here for my loved ones.
