Dear Family and Friends,

My Name is Dorian Young,

I am presently a senior at Concord High School in Concord, NC. I am participating in the Kappa Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Kappa Foundation of Charlotte and the Charlotte Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

The Beautillion is used as a vehicle to raise funds for scholarships, as well as build character, enhance positive moral and social growth, and leadership skills of young men moving into young adulthood. To be involved in this organization is a prestigious affair, and I feel honored to have been recommended, and selected to participate in the program which will convene on August 23rd, 2026.

I have been involved in the Black Student Union at my high school. I served as the Treasurer last year, and I am currently serving as the Vice President this year. I plan to get involved in the Black Student Union, Mu Alpha Theta chapter, and other community service organizations once I enroll in college. Other School Activities, Honors and Awards include:

• National Society of High School Scholars (2025)

• Math Olympiad “Highest Individual Score” Award (2020)

I plan to study Finance upon entering college and furthering my educational studies to become a Financial Manager. Your gift will enable me to earn a scholarship and assist me in financing my education.

April 16th, 2027  is the deadline for all donations.
