Beau Elijah Brown

Dear Family and Friends, My name is Elijah Brown.

I am a senior at Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology in Charlotte, NC. I am participating in the Kappa Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Kappa foundation of Charlotte and the Charlotte Alumni of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

The beautillion is used to raise funds for scholarships, to build character, to improve moral and social growth, and to increase leadership skills of males going from boys to men. To be involved in this organization is a prestigious honor, and I am humble to be recommended and selected to participate in this program which will happen in May.

Throughout my time in high school I have been involved in the Student Government Association serving as Mr. Freshman and Mr. Sophomore at West Charlotte High School before transferring to Phillip O. Berry. I was also inducted into the National Honor Society by my grades and teacher recommendations. I also played both Basketball and baseball. Most recently, over the summer, I studied Anime and Manga abroad with the Council on International Educational Exchange in Tokyo, Japan and was blessed with $3000 to be able to go. I am also on the esports team making it to back to back to back grand finals in the state championships for Fortnite and NBA 2K. I currently serve my community at West Charlotte Recreation Center by helping coach youth basketball and I help clean up and set up events. I plan to join even more clubs like Student Government Association, esports, and sports, and do more for my community once I get to college.

• (CIEE) Student Exchange Study Abroad Program (Summer 2026)
• (SGA) Mr. Freshman (2023-24) Mr. Sophomore (2024-25)
• National Honor Society
• Esports Team Captain (Fortnite & NBA 2K)
• JV Basketball (2023-24) Varsity Basketball (2026-27) Varsity Baseball (2023-24)

I hope to go to either North Carolina A&T, University of North Carolina Charlotte, Clark Atlanta University, Florida A&M University, Fayetteville State University, or Howard University. I plan to study Marketing or Computer Engineering in college and furthering my education even more by getting my masters degree to become a Marketing Director for one of Charlotte’s many sports teams or working for a company potentially becoming a Software Developer.

Your gifts will allow me to hit the required benchmarks towards the scholarship and assist me in financing my education. This is more than a charitable donation; it will be an investment in my future.

Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Please share this letter with others willing to help me in my future endeavors.

Checks and Money Orders should be made out to the “Kappa Foundation of Charlotte” to Beau Elijah Brown.

The deadline for donations is March 31, 2027 for ads and patrons to be listed in the souvenir booklet. April 16, 2027 is the deadline for all donations.

Thank you for your generous and kind donation and investing in my future.
