Beau Ethan Butler

Dear Family and Friends,

My name is Ethan Butler, and I am currently pursuing my education at Cabarrus Health Science Institution (Early College), where I am studying Biomedical Sciences and working toward an Associate's degree in Life Sciences. I expect to complete my high school diploma and Associates degree in May 2027.

I am honored to be participating in the Kappa Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Kappa Foundation of Charlotte. The Beautillion provides an opportunity to develop character, leadership, and personal growth while also helping young men pursue their educational goals through scholarship support.  The program culminates in a formal gala, the annual Beautillion Militaire, where each Beau is honored and celebrated for his accomplishments, transformation, and readiness to transition into adulthood, higher education, and leadership in their communities.  The Kappa Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Gala will occur on May 2, 2027. 

Throughout my education and work experiences, I have worked to develop skills that will help me succeed both academically and professionally. I have gained experience as a mathematics tutor, helping students understand challenging concepts and build academic confidence. I have also developed strong customer service, teamwork, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills through my employment at Starbucks and Sipco. My experience as an accounting assistant has strengthened my ability to manage financial records and work carefully with numerical information, while my experience caring for cats has taught me patience, responsibility, and attention to detail.

As I approach graduation, I plan to become a Pre-Calculus tutor so I can give back to other students and help them feel more confident in subjects that can sometimes be challenging. I also plan to shadow veterinarians to gain firsthand experience in the field and learn more about the different opportunities available in veterinary medicine and animal care.  I plan to pursue a career in veterinary medicine or the healthcare field. Additionally, I hope to participate in a roadshow focused on educating middle school students about the opportunities available through early-college programs. I want to show younger students that starting college-level education early can open doors, provide valuable experiences, and help them discover career paths they may not have considered.

My goal is to continue growing academically while using my experiences to help and encourage others. Receiving a scholarship would help support my education and allow me to continue pursuing opportunities that will prepare me for my future career in the healthcare field and allow me to make a positive impact in my community.
