Dear Family and Friends,

My name is Tristan Stroud. I am presently a senior at York Preparatory High School in Rock Hill, SC. I am honored to share that I have been selected to participate in the Kappa Beautillion Militaire Scholarship Program, sponsored by the Kappa Foundation of Charlotte and the Charlotte Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

The Kappa Beautillion is more than just a program; it is a meaningful opportunity that focuses on preparing young men for the next chapters in life. The Beautillion is used as a vehicle to raise funds for scholarships, as well as build character, enhance positive moral and social growth, and leadership skills of young men moving into young adulthood. To be involved in this organization is a prestigious affair, and I feel honored to have been recommended, and selected to participate in the program which will convene on August 1st, 2025. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to grow personally, academically, and socially alongside other like-minded young men. 

I have always believed in hard work and dedication and my academic record reflects that, with a strong 4.7 GPA (3.875 unweighted GPA). I have been dual enrolled at York Technical College in Rock Hill, SC for two years taking prerequisite courses and building a solid foundation for my college studies. Throughout high school, I have been involved in the Beta Club and National Honor Society. Other school activities, Honors and Awards, include:

• Principal’s Scholar (2022-Present)
• Varsity Baseball Player – Defensive Player of the Year 2022
• JV and Varsity Basketball Player – Patriots Award (2022) Team Captain (2023)

I plan to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree  in Engineering upon entering college and furthering my educational studies to become a Mechanical Engineer. Your gift will enable me to earn a scholarship and assist me in financing my education. 

As part of the Beautillion Program, I am raising funds that will go toward scholarships and further education opportunities. Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated.
