July 27th, 2025,
Hello, I am Beau Jackson Cook, a rising senior at Palisades High school in southwest Charlotte, North Carolina. I am honored to have been accepted into the Charlotte Alumni Chapter of the Kappa Beautillion Militaire this year and I will be taking part in the Beautillion Scholarship program.
I began participating in Kappa League in 2022 which was my freshman year of high school. And continued throughout my junior year, although last year I wasn't as focused and present due to my clubs, football, and work, but now I intend on and will make sure I go back to focusing on the Beautillion Militaire a priority.
In school I have participated in a number of extracurricular activities, such as:
- National Honors Society: 11th Grade-Now
- Participate in many service opportunities
- 60 service hours a year to continue this club
- National Art Honors Society: 10th Grade-Now
- Green Team (Environmental Club): 11th Grade-Now
- Each year for this club we participate in ain a competition called Envirothon, where teams from different schools compete by demonstrating their knowledge of environmental science and natural resource management.
- Book Club: 11th Grade-Now
- Model United Nations: 11th Grade-Now
In addition to clubs and football, I've had to balance them with a difficult class schedule, consisting of Advanced Placement (AP) and Cambridge International Examination (CIE) Advanced Subsidiary (AS). Even with all this I've maintained a 3.83 GPA and also plan on continuing taking AP classes this year.
*AS classes (Advanced Subsidiary) are part of the British A-Level system, roughly equivalent to the first year of college-level coursework in the U.S. They're typically taken in 11th grade and can count toward full A-Level qualifications used for international university admissions.
I plan to continue my education at a four-year university and then go to graduate school to pursue a Master's Degree in History, Psychology, or Neuropsychology. My goal is to experiment with patterns pertaining to neurology, and be able to explain things to people like me who have neurological disorders. I want to attend a school like UNC Greensboro, UNC Chapel Hill, UNC Charlotte, or NC State to help me achieve this.
I am excited to share that as part of my involvement in the Beautillion. I am raising funds to support my scholarship and college education. Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings me closer to reaching my academic goals and dreams. Your generosity will have a lasting impact, not just on my future, but also on my ability to give back to the community after completing my education.
The support I receive will help me earn a scholarship and ease the financial burden of college, ultimately enabling me to pursue my degree and make a meaningful difference in the world. College is a significant financial commitment, which is why I’m reaching out for your assistance. Your donation will directly benefit my fundraising efforts for the Kappa Beautillion Militaire Program and will be used to cover my educational expenses. Contributions can be made to the "Kappa Foundation of Charlotte" for Jackson Cook, and all donations are tax-deductible, with receipts available upon request.
I am deeply grateful for any support you can provide, and I truly appreciate your help in making my educational journey a reality. Please feel free to share this message with anyone in your network who might be interested in helping me achieve my goals. Please share this letter with your family and friends that you feel may be willing to assist me in my future plans.
