Making the world a little bit greener

If you've spent much time with me, you know that I'm passionate about getting children (and their adults) outside.  Becoming a parent has only deepened my commitment to the wonders of being outside in the natural world.  My son has his own National Parks and North Carolina State Parks passports with a variety of adventures documented in each one.  The picture above is from a family adventure in Pocosin Lakes National Wildlife Refuge.

Our future generations of decision makers need opportunities to experience the outdoors with supportive adults.  This will help them make informed decisions in the future about the environment.

Environmental education (EE) is a solution.  I have served on the Board of Environmental Educators of North Carolina (EENC) and I believe strongly in our mission to build connections, provide professional development, and promote excellence in environmental education.  Your donation with help us provide and promote programs and resources to help teach about our environmental systems, understand humans' role in environmental issues, and build critical thinking skills needed to address complex environmental issues  to find solutions.  Supporting Environmental Educators of North Carolina (EENC) in our annual campaign will help grow environmental education in North Carolina, and support our vision to  inspire those we work with to create an environmentally literate citizenry.
