Bill Colehower fundraising for 2nd Annual Raise a Racquet for the Y

Dear Friends and Family,

 

I have graciously accepted an invitation to help the YMCA of the North Shore in the Raise A Racquet fundraiser.  The Y an organization that is “DEDICATED TO SERVING ALL.”

 

A group of my squash friends and I have agreed to reach out to our friends and family in an effort to raise $100,000 for Y to support its mission and I hope I can count on your support.

 

In 2013, the North Shore Y awarded over $2 million in financial assistance to over 12,000 deserving kids, adults and families who needed our help. For some, assistance was needed for preschool education.  For others, a camp scholarship was needed for summer care, and for many others, subsidized membership was needed in order to lead a more active and healthy life.

 

100% of every charitable gift to the Y is awarded to local kids and families.  The generosity of more than 3,500 annual donors help support the Y’s Financial Assistance Fund and stays local to your neighbors in need.

 

Your contribution to the Raise A Racquet truly matters.  It matters to the family whose parent was diagnosed with cancer and needs a little financial help to sustain normalcy for her son in the Y’s afterschool program.  Your gift matters to the single mom who needs safe, nurturing child care so she can continue her pursuit of a college degree. It matters to the teens who find a sense of belonging at our Teen Centers. One (1) out of every six (6) people in our Ys benefit from the generosity of our “Y For All” donors.

 

Your gift matters to the Y as we strive to have a meaningful, enduring impact right here in our North Shore neighborhoods.
