I am a member of Bay Area Legal Services' Board of Directors. Bay Area Legal Services (BALS) is a non-profit law firm, whose objective is to help the most vulnerable people in our community by creating pathways to justice.
As a member of the BALS Board, I believe that access to justice is fundamental to strong, safe, communities. I am asking you today to join us in fighting for equal justice for all by donating a minimum of $5 to this cause I so deeply believe in.
Your Give Day donation will go directly back into the community by providing fundamental legal services to the bay area’s most vulnerable members, including seniors, veterans, domestic violence victims and underprivileged children and families.
A side note: We are competing against Bay Area's Development Council for the most funds raised. We need to win this!!! Thank you for your support!

WHAT YOUR 2017 GIVE DAY DONATIONS ACCOMPLISHED:
- Assisted more than 17,000 individuals, families, and community groups.
- Supported 5,143 residents in the Tampa Bay area through our Legal Information Center in the George C. Edgecomb Courthouse, by providing them with legal information about how to represent themselves in family law cases.
- Helped 4,510 senior clients resolve their legal problems.
- Assisted 656 domestic violence survivors obtain injunctions, child custody, support, and alimony.
- Assisted 3,241 clients seeking help to obtain or maintain housing.
- Helped 1,315 military veterans.
- Partnered with 409 volunteer attorneys to assist 1,478 clients through our pro bono projects.
