I’m so excited to serve for the second time with a Come before Winter team as they strive to refresh and renew women in ministry. In 2018, I got to go to Costa Rica and minister to the missionaries in the Central American countries. As the ministry slowly returns to in person renewals, this year our team is going to Tennessee to serve missionaries, ministers and church leaders from the US and Canada, as well as missionaries/ministers visiting the US.
By the power of God and for God’s glory, Come before Winter exists to renew, equip, honor, and unite women and men in ministry around the world. The renewals are geared toward renewing servant leaders, mentors, and ministers who by the nature of their daily service may become susceptible to fatigue, discouragement, even burnout. Each renewal is offered free of charge for those who apply and are accepted. Our generous donors cover all costs except for travel to and from the event and spending money. So I am raising funds to cover myself and THREE PARTICIPANTS to attend this renewal and humbly asking you to join in supporting this important work.
The renewals span five days, in which we provide opportunities for participants to share needs, make and renew friendships, and practice the spiritual disciplines of study, prayer, worship, and reflection. After the last 2 years, so many of those leading in ministry are close to burned out (or already are) and the time for them to be renewed by God’s Spirit, God’s Word and God’s people is desperately needed.

And if you’re curious, the name of the ministry comes from 2 Timothy 4: 21 when Paul is writing to Timothy to come encourage him in prison. “Make every effort to come before winter.” May we now be encouragement to those in ministry!
