New Lungworm Diagnosis
We recently learned that Bowzer also has lungworm, a tricky parasite that lives in the respiratory tissue and can cause symptoms similar to bronchitis or pneumonia. Fortunately, lungworm can be treated with a strict course of medication!
Senior pup Bowzer has had a long journey. He came to Homeward Trails from a shelter in southern Virginia. We don't know much about his past, but we do know that he is going deaf. He is slow moving and showing all the wear and tear associated with his age. And now on top of it all, he has cancer.
Cancer is a big, scary word. But in Bowzer's case, there is a solution. His vet is recommending surgery to have the cancerous, painful mass from his back leg removed.
Bowzer has made it so far. He's a senior dog who beat the odds and made it out of a shelter alive, ready for the next chapter. We don't want this to be the end of his story. Will you help Bowzer?
