As most of you know I have been fighting Crohn's Disease for 20 years now. I should be more outspoken about my fight but I believe this is my personal battle and choose to not get others involved. (I’m working on being more open :) )

I have fought this disease without needing help, unaware that there are so many that do. Crohn’s is a disease that requires constant doctor visits, surgery and medications. Copays can add up quick and become overwhelming. At times, my own have shocked me. I am, so far, able to work and pay them off unlike so many others. Important to me is the copay assistance the IIF provides. Part of the fund is used to assist patients that have become overwhelmed.

I have never in my life asked of people to be involved in my disease, family included. But this organization directly assists Crohn’s patients fighting for good health. The funds are going to real people struggling to get healthy. IIF makes a difference in individuals who are often forgotten when we donate to research alone.

I am asking you now.

Please donate to this cause. I have paid all outside expenses out of pocket so that 100% of this will go to the Intense Intestines Foundation. IIF is volunteer run.

Over 1.6 million people in the United States alone suffers from inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis are two diseases that can change the course of a person's life forever. Because they are not discusssed enough, I want to do my part and help raise awareness for these diseases and help the children, patients and familes that have been touched by IBD. 

This May, I will be riding in the Five Boro Bike Tour for the Intense Intestines Foundation's Cycling the Big Apple for Crohns's & Colitis 2016 ride. The ride is over 40 miles during which we'll be raising awarness for IBD but I will also be raising critical funds to help the Intense Intestines Foundation's programs.
