Service Dog for Cole

Cole is a sweet and soft spoken 6 year old boy. His interests currently include baseball, cars, and drawing. In 2019, Cole was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder with accompanying Global Developmental Delay and Language Impairment. Since his diagnosis, Cole has benefitted from speech and occupational therapies as well as services provided by KidsTLC and Autism Support Now. We continue to look for solutions to help Cole with his rigidity and repetitive behaviors. From an early age, Cole bonded with our household pets. Our family dogs aged and have since passed on but Cole continues to find comfort in his stuffed animals, many of which are simply named "Doggy." It's no secret that having a canine companion provides many benefits such as comfort, and unconditional love and support, which is why our family is excited our application was accepted by 4 Paws for Ability for an Autism Assistance Dog. Additionally, the dog will be specifically trained in behavior interventions, interrupting repetitive behaviors, and tethering. We appreciate any assistance that can be provided as we work towards our fundraising goal to provide an Autism Assistance Dog for our sweet Cole.
