We soared through our initial goal of $500 so quickly that we modified the goal to $2,000. And because of the matching contribution of $2,000 we were able to provide a $4,000 donation to Smile Up Foundation. This would not have been possible without your generosity, willingness to share, and your desire to watch me in pain eating a chocolate bar. I'm entirely grateful!
SmileUp! is a 501c3 non-profit whose mission is to get kids helping kids through volunteerism. Their focus is on recruiting volunteers from all walks of life, in order to present a diverse group of SERVICE LEADERS who know how to work for and along side those who look and live differently than they do. Children instinctively focus on the humanity of a person and SmileUp! reinforces this character trait so that they carry it into adulthood.
The young volunteers learn empathy, compassion and tolerance through their volunteer service, all which are necessary components of racial justice and harmony. By donating to this fundraiser, you are supporting them in their efforts to make their communities and this world a better place for all.Â
