2024 Longest Day - Tee It Up For The Troops

As a veteran of the US Air Force, I am proud to have served my country.  While I am fortunate to have completed my tours of service relatively unscathed, there are many of my fellow veterans that were negatively impacted, suffering from both physical and hidden wounds like depression, isolation and suicide.   The Tee It Up For the Troops organization based out of Burnsville MN, was founded with a mission to honor, remember, respect, and support veterans’ transitions from the battlefront to the home front and raise awareness about the profound and enduring effects of combat on our nation’s heroes.  They also partner with and support vetted military non-profit and service organizations  across the nation who offer critical services that provide an immediate impact for veterans and their families.   More information could be found at https://teeitupforthetroops.org/ .

“The Longest Day” was a famous book and movie honoring those who fought for our freedom on D-Day (June 6, 1944). On Friday, June 21 (one of the longest days of the year), Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids (MN) will be hosting the 9th Annual Longest Day of Golf for the Troops.

Golfers will Tee It Up for the Troops at the crack of dawn and play until sundown to raise money to honor, remember, respect and support all those who serve(d) in the Armed Forces for our great nation.
