Ridgewood Basketball Coaches vs Cancer

    The RHS basketball family has been participating in Coaches vs Cancer for the past ten years. Over that period the RHS program has raised more than fifty thousand dollars ($50,000). The money has been donated to help families within the Ridgewood basketball community as well as others throughout Bergen County and surrounding areas. 

    This year with the money donated we would like to support Jill Kandel with her fight against cancer. The Kandel family has long been avid supporters of the Ridgewood Basketball Program and Ridgewood Athletics. Her sons Brendan and Tanner are former players for the program and daughter Casey was a member of the RHS Softball Team.

    Jill was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroendocrine cancer this past fall and is completing an aggressive chemotherapy program that has required all her strength to endure. For those who know her Jill is strong, focused, and in true form, fighting this challenge with a positive attitude each and every day. Jill and her family have received a great deal of love, prayers and friendship during these trying months. This support has been a source of strength for Jill and her family. The Ridgewood basketball family would like to contribute this year's Coaches vs Cancer donations towards helping Jill and her family deal with the expenses of her cancer treatment which is further complicated by Covid restrictions and protocols.

    Jill has always been first to extend her kindness and generosity to others in need, Please help to support this very worthy cause.
