Through our monthly publication and website, Bay Woof.org, the Bay Woof Foundation has supported  new dog parents as well as old hands at raising a happy, healthy canine companion – your dog needs you to stay on top of the latest news! Bay Woof brings you the best training techniques and canine health care tips, along with fascinating features and news of interest to dog lovers in the Bay Area and beyond.

This fall we plan to launch a new pilot program focused on Queer at-risk youth.

Queer at-risk-youth youth are 10-40% more likely to be homeless as a direct result of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and assault. Being on the streets fighting for basic survival leaves little time or opportunity for self-care or self love.  Profound healing can happen through working with canines and the unequivocal, unconditional love they provide. Bay Woof, in collaboration with local animal shelters and youth advocacy organizations, is developing educational and enrichment programs to support these Queers through direct interaction with canines, certified instructors and support personnel. Opportunities to learn animal handling, dog training, and vet tech vocational skills will serve as pathways to personal growth towards becoming  contributing members of the local community.

You'll help keep Bay Woof's e-magazine available to dog lovers everywhere with a donation to the Bay Woof Foundation, and you'll also be helping to support our new programming with love for our Queer youth so as to help ensure their happy, Queer adulthood.
