Owner Passed Away, 7 Cats Left Abandoned

Can you imagine a long life in a loving home, only to have your human pass away, leaving you abandoned to fend for yourself?

The Manassas Cat Crew was found in an abandoned home where their owner had passed away. The cats were running out of time and didn’t have anywhere else to go. The situation was dire.

That’s when Homeward Trails stepped in. A crew of loyal cat team volunteers rescued five cats from the home. Not surprisingly, they were all very nervous as the world has recently been turned upside down, and strangers were there trying to put them in carriers. But our volunteers worked their magic, and were able to safely get these guys to rescue.

These cats have been alone for quite some time. This means they need vetting, vaccines, exams, bloodwork, and possibly more. They are going to need a lot of help and a lot of time. Ages range from 3-18 years old.

There are two more cats still in the house, but we have not and WILL NOT give up! Our team will be back to coax the others to safety and get them the care they desperately need.
