Carmela is a black, brown, and white hound / fiest mix that is about two years old. She was surrendered by her owner - with a couple of other dogs - in rural Virginia. She has unfortunately lost the only home she has probably ever known, as the owner lost their job and was no longer able to care for her or the other dogs. Rural shelters often have low resources, low foot traffic, and high euthanasia rates.
