Carnation is a 3 year old beagle mix who was surrendered to a rural Virginia shelter due to no fault of her own along with a few other dogs when their owner could no longer keep them. Unfortunately, Carnation is heartworm positive and will require treatment before she becomes symptomatic which could lead to death.
