Cat's Continue The Legacy Fundraiser

This December 1st is #GivingTuesday, a worldwide day of giving to help support those in need. Please contribute to the Ben D. Johnson Educational Center during this day that brings communities together.

The Ben D. Johnson Educational Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Natchitoches Louisiana. Their mission is to build community in Natchitoches and give access to social and economic success for all its residents. 

The BDJ Center’s primary program is the Legacy Youth Workforce Development Program that teaches 17-24-year old’s workforce training, team building and life skills. Although in a culinary training environment, after graduation, the participants are equipped for entry level positions in many industries.  The training they receive prepares them for job placement so they can lead independent lives.

My Connection:

I fully support programs that help to better our community. The BDJ Center helps to spark positive change, and the programs offered by the BDJ Center benefit individuals as well as the community as a whole.  Helping uplift one person helps uplift all of us.

I know some of the employees and hearing them speak about their work and how much they love what they do inspired me to find out more about the BDJ Center programs. This led my son to participate in the Legacy Youth Workforce Development Program, an experience that he enjoyed and has helped him to feel better prepared to face the world. 

The BDJ Center is a valuable community resource that helps young people striving to make a positive life change. For many, this will be their first step on their life’s journey of success and happiness.
