Chris Simonoff - Stark Naked

I’ve been at Stark for a long time and have seen all the prior Stark Naked competitions. I had been asked to participate but always declined – thinking heck no, my best athletic days are far behind me. I’m a 53 year old Dad with businesses to run, who the heck needs that much more hard work? 

That’s when it hit me. Stark Naked isn’t just about training hard and taking pictures are the end. This competition can give me an opportunity to do something that’s really important to me - support the men and women who are out there really putting in the hard work.  

Forget about cutting the carbs and upping the cardio for 5 months, these folks are day in, day out putting in the work. They are away from their homes and families, putting it all on the line by serving our country so you and I can go to work, play with our kids and be fortunate to be able to afford a place like Stark. 

When these men and women are wounded, it’s now on us to be there to help. I am very proud to participate in Stark Naked to support the Fisher House Foundation and the work they do providing homes where military and veterans' families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment. These homes are located at major military and VA medical centers nationwide, and in Europe, close to the medical center or hospital it serves.
