Alexander made some poor choices and ended up needing emergency surgery to remove a piece of toy blocking his intestine. We noticed Alexander wasn't feeling well and we knew something was dreadfully wrong when this very hungry pup suddenly stopped eating.
After several X rays and many trips to the vet we finally figured out the problem - our mischievous boy had something lodged in his intestine. We later found out that something was a large piece of a toy!
We are so thankful that we discovered the problem in time and we were able to remove the blockage before it caused any lasting damage but the diagnostics and emergency surgery came at a high price - $4000.
Alexander is recovering well but we need your help to pay off these enormous bills.
Here is some more about Alexander: He was found as a stray at one of our rural shelter partners. He is a big, goofy hound who loves to explore outside. His favorite thing to do is to run around and smell everything with his hound nose! He likes meeting new people and going on adventures. He is looking for a home where I can be the only pet, with a family interested in training!
