WHY?
During this pandemic, you may be wondering why we are moving forward with our golf outing. This two-minute video will give you just ONE of the reasons why...
A Little History...
A 'good idea' has grown into COJ's Major Friend & Fundraising Event of the Year!
In 2015, COJ Board Member Mike Munafo (pictured above on left, with mother and COJ Founder, Sheila Munafo-Kanoza and brother Tony Munafo) thought a golf outing could be just the way to invite friends and business associates to learn more about Companions on a Journey's mission, while also providing the opportunity to ask them to lend their financial support. Little did he realize that six years later this would become THE major fundraising event for COJ, providing the resources necessary to sustain our mission to support those who are grieving and education to those who don't understand grief.
Now, as a COJ Corporate Sustaining Partner, ProLink Staffing, owned by Mike and Tony Munafo, present the 6th Annual COJ 'Celebrity' Classic. As with all events and "social gatherings" this year, there are many changes in place to keep everyone safe. There will still be food, drinks, and prizes as well as a few “new and creative” elements. Stay tuned for more information on the 'celebrity' aspect of this year's event.
We are still inviting our friends and asking for their support in our mission. We hope you can do the same! For those of you returning, thank you! It will be another fun and festive day. For anyone new to this event -- we look forward to meeting you and including you as a friend and supporter.
