Corcum's in Rougher Shape Than We Thought

Update posted 10 months ago

Corcum just hasn't been himself. He was avoiding his foster, isolating himself in a corner, his nose was clogged with mucous. At first we thought it was because his gums were so inflamed and that he needed a dental badly.

But when the meds weren't helping, he started struggling to breath, and we rushed him to the vet. X-rays showed that his lungs were filled with fluid and that he might be in heart failure. We need to run more tests to see where the fluid is coming from and start him on more meds that will help clear the fluid out to give him some relief. His only chance at getting better is with these tests and extra care. Please help us get Corcum the care he needs!

Corcum has had a very rough life - he was found living on the streets in Israel. A good Samaritan helped him make his way to the US and Homeward Trails. Unfortunately, living on the streets and other contributing factors mean Corcum's mouth is in rough shape. His gums are constantly bleeding and we can only imagine the amount of pain he's in. The vet believes he will need to have most, if not all, of his teeth extracted, if his quality of life is to improve. This comes with a big price tag, but his relief will be immediate. Please help us get Corcum the help he needs as soon as possible.
