Following COVID-19 guidance from the CDC, local and state government agencies, our internal COVID-19 Task Force has modified operations to continue providing meals and essential services.

Keeping the meal program running is essential during this crisis as we currently provide 120-150 meals each day to individuals that often cannot attain food or other essential services elsewhere.

As many families are faced with financial burdens during the Coronavirus pandemic , we expect to see the number of people served and the demand to continue to increase over the coming weeks.

100% of our operations are supported by direct donations from individuals or private groups. These donations make what we do possible.

The center, located at 622 Maywood Ave. Raleigh, NC, is the only known “day shelter” in Wake County. It is also one of the only intentionally open and affirming safe space for ALL people, including our LGBTQ community. Open Monday through Friday and available to anyone, there is no requirement to prove need. Volunteers serve meals, operate a food & clothing pantry, maintain shower facilities and offer peer support services.
