When I started the first Track Friday in 2012, my efforts were dedicated to Hurricane Sandy relief. I chose a food bank near my childhood hometown of Middletown, to help so many families devastated by the storm. The experience opened my eyes to the power that local food banks can have in helping those in need, and the power of each of us to contribute to the efforts ourselves. In that spirit, I've chosen to support Cranford Family Care for Track Friday 2019, so that my efforts can help bring support and assistance to families right here in Cranford.
Please consider a donation to my fundraiser in the form of a financial donation or by dropping off non-perishable food at the Ray White Track on Track Friday. I'll have a special donation bin at the entrance for donations to CFC.
Cranford Family Care offers temporary emergency assistance to qualified Cranford residents in need. Director of Cranford Family Care, Kathy Willis, said, “Hardship can come in the form of a job loss, illness, or unforeseen events.” CFC’s philosophy is “neighbors helping neighbors”. This is accomplished with dignity, anonymity and without judgment. Families are allowed to come twice a month to the food pantry.
