Amanda Criss - Support Festival Fun in 20-21 NCAF!

Hi Friends! 

Many of you know my love for community events runs deep and  the North Carolina Azalea Festival holds a special place in my heart. I have served as the Volunteer Coordinator for the Street Fair, as a Co-Chair role, since 2018, when I moved back to my hometown of Wilmington, NC.

The Azalea Festival Future Festival Fund was created as part of a strategic vision to ensure the Azalea Festival has continued support into its future. 2020, though a challenging year for most, hit the events industry especially hard - our whole industry model is in bringing large groups of people together.

By supporting this campaign, your dollars will help ensure Festival events continue into the future. North Carolina Azalea Festival events have a regional economic stimulus impact of over $50,000,000 annually; our community relies on Festival events to generate revenue for our small businesses, restaurants, hotels, etc.

My favorite event is definitely the Street Fair and  Parade, a FUN event that highlights our local city and county officials, highlights our festival guests, and allows all of Wilmington and our surrounding communities an opportunity to be a part of the Festival. Help me bring back this event (and all our others) safely in 20-21 and beyond!

Thanks for your help and support with this amazing festival!  I love celebrating the beauty of our city with my festival fam and all the locals and tourists that come, just to see the magic within the festival week. Definitely my favorite event of the year!
