OH MY GOSH. HELLO.

Here is the story. I own a bike ("The King of Red Lions") and I ride her everywhere. I live in Tucson, Arizona, which is a very bike-able city, and there's this big loop of bike paths that winds its way around the whole thing. The same year that I was born, a bicycle event was started to ride this long perimeter of paths, which was called El Tour de Tucson, and it's really a Tucson Annual Tradition now. El Tour has  become a great way to fundraise for local, national, and international nonprofits and charities.  I AM GOING TO RIDE IN EL TOUR THIS YEAR, which is exciting. I've been practicing, although a large part of that is just  making sure my butt can withstand a tiny bike seat for 50 miles.

What's MORE EXCITING is that I am supporting is BEN'S BELLS on this ride, a Tucson nonprofit whose mission is to inspire people to practice and share kindness. WHICH I THINK IS VERY IMPORTANT IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2019. They also offer these free kindness education programs to schools across America, and have volunteer-run ceramic art studios for making (the titular) bells, which are shared as symbols of kindness. If you've been around Tucson, you'll see these flower stickers that say BE KIND everywhere. That's Ben's Bells. If you know my wife (and you should), you might know that she's the Development Coordinator for Ben's Bells, so we're all about practicing kindness

So, if you think maybe kindness matters, and you have some money (any amount!) and want to kick it my way for the ride, I would certainly appreciate it. If you want to read more about Ben's Bells, click on the link on this very sentence.
