Shop With a Bulldawg 2020 - Cydney Abel

Shop With a Bulldawg is a non-profit at the University of Georgia dedicated to serving our surrounding community in Athens-Clarke County. We believe that our mission is even more important this year as families and children continue to encounter the disproportionate impacts of COVID-19 in Athens. While our event alone cannot tackle the burdens that this pandemic has both created and further deepened, it is more critical than ever that SWAB and UGA join together to celebrate the value of community, the excitement of the holidays, and the children of Athens.

I became a member of SWAB my freshman year at UGA. Back then, I was a member of the Freshman Council and fell quickly in love with the organization, its mission and the people that made it happen. As time passed, I became more and more involved, joining SWAB Committee, then serving as the Director of Event Creativity on the Executive Board, and currently have the honor of serving as the Executive Director. 

Shop With a Bulldawg has helped to shape my college career and in it I have made a home for myself at UGA. Please consider donating to my fundraising page to help me make this year in SWAB, my fourth and final year, the best it can possibly be!
