No weather will stop our lifesaving work in the field. We had to drive through a white-out blizzard to land in Danville where spring awaits us...and so do more than 100 cats needing spay/neuter.

We are expecting severe weather (see photo below) here in Danville tomorrow - massive storms and tornados. This is crushing our hearts as we desperately try to trap almost a dozen cats and kittens living in a storm drain before it's too late.
We are out in the field and have found a DOZEN CATS - many clearly pregnant as well as recently given birth- LIVING IN A STORM DRAIN. Several also have injuries that need treating - one named Big Poppi has an infected head wound that is oozing and needs immediate medical attention - something we can get done at our vets.
We are on the location now trying to trap. We already have our allotted 50 cats in house
so these will need to be spayed locally, which is twice the cost - but leaving them behind will mean a horrible end via likely drowning for the kittens.
WE NEED FUNDING IMMEDIATELY to help us get these trapped and booked locally asap...the weather is going to be here by tomorrow afternoon.
The 50+ cats we have in-house will head to Roanoke tomorrow to our wonderful friends at Angels of Assisi to be sterilized, vaccinated and chipped.

Thousands of kittens will be born in the next few weeks and our goal is to make that number as small as possible so that fewer kittens are born outdoors in a community where they are largely not wanted.
