In Pain With Every Bite

Darcy has had a rough life. She was living in a home with 60 other cats. Their owner realized she couldn't provide for all of them and her family reached out to Homeward Trails for help. As soon as we arrived, she asked us if we could help Darcy. She said Darcy only got up to eat and even that seemed painful for her. Darcy would cry out and sound like she was choking after just a few bites. 

We took her back with us that day and got her right to to the vet. She had labored breathing and her fur was matted with snot, drool, and feces. The vet had to bathe and shave her. She was diagnosed with bronchitis and has severe dental disease which is contributing to her nasal discharge. 

While we have been working to get the bronchitis under control, she needs a dental and fast. Eating still causes her so much pain she'll refuse food so she's on medication to manage pain. She'll need a dental with x-rays to make there aren't any roots left behind that will cause her more problems down the line. 

Can you please help this sweet girl finally catch a break?
