As I ran around Burnhams, and then over to the cemetery, I think all those boat horns blasting and people cheering were for me! Fiesta! 🎉
This has been a very meaningful experience for me, and thank you all for donating to Amirah as they give hope to women who have been trafficked.

Since I heard about Amirah and its mission at church a couple years ago, I have had strong feelings about helping and being involved with this important work. While I have been able to spend some time attending or helping with some Amirah events and even volunteering at a location, this MOVE fundraiser is a great way to show my support of the hope and grace extended to these women while they come out of hell and move forward - and get the word out about this amazing organization’s mission!
Some of you know I have had a rough 10 years. It seems 2023 is a repeat of 2013 and 2018... the cycle continues. While my hellish times are nothing in comparison to the experiences of the women supported through Amirah, I feel a sort of connection and desire to help.
I am a fair weather runner, and the season has arrived!! In preparation for this fundraiser, I have been basically stationary!! OH NO!!!! YIKES!! This most likely will be a trying, tough, and pain-bringing 50 miles of running, but I hope to help Amirah with your support.
I can do this!
