PATHWAYS Theological Education, Inc. offers open-minded, progressive theological education for pastors, parishioners, educators, and spiritual seekers wherever they reside. Our programs also provide a comprehensive and recognized online education for church leaders both lay and authorized. For 2021, we are happy to announce we will offer two new certificates in the fields of Environmental Justice and Black Studies. These programs will begin in early 2021.

In order to grow our program where questions are welcome and a diverse community is created, we ask for your support for a new learning management system (LMS). The new LMS will provide us with a comprehensive and reliable online education platform that supports our capacity-building plan.

The best paid (purchased or subscription) learning management systems (LMSs) are now designed for extensive customization in-house but also provide substantial ongoing support from their own development and design teams. The ability to create a relationship with an LMS provider long-term would give us stability, functionality, and access to the best current resources for online education. A well-designed LMS would allow the Registrar and Advisors to track a participant’s progress against their plan of learning within the system.

An LMS designed to meet the unique needs of PATHWAYS as an adult, competency-based education system would provide us with everything we need now as well as the ability to grow substantially in the future.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 to fund Year One of the new online system.

Any size gift can make big things happen at PATHWAYS. Gifts can be made online or by mailing your gift to PATHWAYS Theological Education, Inc., PO Box 897, Tucker, GA 30085.

We are excited to get the word out about PATHWAYS, an online, open-minded theological education program. Our quality, competency-based, practical courses are affordable, asynchronous, and available in any geographic location where there is internet access. Please help us in one or more of the following ways:

Talking up PATHWAYS with people interested in pursuing additional theological, ethical, biblical, or community leadership education.

The Rev. Heidi Y. Hulme, Pastor of Faith UCC, Davenport, IA wrote:

“I have never been one to do things ‘traditionally,’ and PATHWAYS allowed me the opportunity to continue to prepare my alternative path to ordination, while allowing me to serve in a church, and be a wife and mother.

“The PATHWAYS course work provided me with the tools I needed to improve my overall ministry within, and without, the church. It helped sharpen my preaching skills, helping me make my messages more relevant, challenging, being something for those who are worshipping to live by. It helped me understand the importance of self-care and boundaries; it emphasized the idea of ‘radical hospitality,’ and how that can look both in church, as well as outside the church walls. ... Overall, I found the course work to be challenging at times-both in my personal time-management and in the content of the curriculum-but always relevant to where I am on my faith journey.”

Your contributions directly underwrite the new Learning Management System needed to maintain PATHWAYS' quality online education program.  It will improve the program for participants like Heidi and make learning even more accessible. We have much work to do and we thank you for your generous support.
