Did you know that without Alley Cat Advocates (ACA), Louisville would have about 40 outdoor cats per home RUNNING AMUCK and causing a ruckus? YIKES!
Because of our supporters, ACA has:
... provided over 80,000 spay and neuter surgeries since 1999.
... nurtured a community where only the sickest or most suffering cats are euthanized in our municipal shelter (Metro Animal Services). Fewer than 6% - down from 100%.That saves LIVES and taxpayer dollars (more expensive to euthanize than alter). DOUBLE YIKES!
...provided lifesaving medical care beyond spay and neuter.
...offered no-cost services in Jefferson County (and just $40 elsewhere).
...helped our county government become a national model, contracting ACA to respond to calls for help.
...spayed and neutered community cats from shelters in Jefferson and Bullitt counties in KY, and Clark County, IN, where they would have otherwise been euthanized.
