Dixie is Depressed Behind Bars

At just 2 years old, Dixie has already lost the only life she knew. This sweet Hound mix was surrendered by her owner and is now sitting in a crowded southwest Virginia shelter, surrounded by barking dogs and unfamiliar faces, waiting and wondering why no one is coming back for her. She doesn’t understand what she did wrong or why the person she trusted left her behind. And now, through absolutely no fault of her own, Dixie’s future is uncertain. Homeward Trails wants to get this young girl out of the shelter and give her the second chance she deserves, but we need to raise the funds to save her.
