I first got involved with Gateway Pet Guardians in 2019 as a foster. I wasn’t looking for a life-changing experience—I just knew an animal needed a safe place to land, and I had room. What I didn’t expect was how deeply I would fall in love with this work and the mission behind it.
In 2020, I officially started my career at GPG, and I haven’t looked back since.
Now, as the Animal Care Director, I give my whole heart to this work every single day. I care for animals who have been abandoned, overlooked, or forgotten. I foster whenever I can—sometimes just one, sometimes several—because I believe every animal deserves comfort, connection, and a chance to be loved while they wait for their forever home.
Gateway Pet Guardians takes in over 90% of the stray animals in our service area. We do whatever it takes to provide them with safety, medical care, and love—but we can’t do it without support.
