End Period Poverty

Love Your Menses®, was founded in response to the growing menstrual wellness needs of youth. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we promote menstrual equity and dispel myths surrounding menstruation by creating a safe, uplifting and supportive space for girls, young women, and people who menstruate to become more aware of their bodies. We hope to decrease period poverty through evidence education and menstrual pad distributions. 

We do this work through evidence-based wellness education, STEM youth programming, menstrual product distribution, and mentorship. Through our program, the youths are exposed to mobile app creation, advocacy through photovoice, and leadership training. 

Love Your Menses, Inc has provided over +30,000 pads to the community both locally and globally. The youth created a mobile app called Our Flow Application. 

Our impact report reveals that the youth who participate in our programs are more empowered and are more likely to be destigmatized from the menstrual taboo. The most remarkable story was a student who wore her Love Your Menses T-Shirt on her very first menstrual cycle. She was unshamed. Her story contrast stories we have heard globally. How a girl began her menses in school and had no period product to utilize. She was so embarrassed that she didn't want to go back to school.

We are blessed to be able to empower, enlighten and educate our youths using their normal physiology to become better leaders, advocates, and global citizens.
