East Decatur Greenway is located at 890 Columbia Drive. What was once a closed gas station with gas tanks, leaking harmful chemicals underground into nearby soil and waterways is now a thriving greenspace used by local schools, neighborhoods, Columbia Presbyterian Church, the Methodist Children’s Home, and many other residents of the area.
Looking towards the future, EDG is working on plans for a community food forest, certified wildlife habitat, introduction of native species, and continued environmental education.
