Hello my beautiful friends and family,
I've lived in Bali for almost a year. Each day I am blessed with abundance - nature, connection, play, growth and incredible life quality. At the same time, each day I was made more aware of the privilege that I have and the disparity with the locals who share the same land. There's a stark contrast between my experience and what the underprivileged locals experience. While I get to work on my spirituality and pick which organic food I put in my body, the locals are struggling to get by and put any food in their mouth.
Bali's economy was 80% tourism until COVID19 happened. Now with no one traveling, many people struggle to provide for their family. With the continuous extended lockdown, their suffering prolongs and nobody knows when will they be able to get back to normal.
That's why for my 28th birthday, I decided to give back to the land and community that I've been receiving so much abundance from. I've researched different organizations and most impactful ways to help and arrived at food as the most basic survival need thousands of local families are short of right now. I've decided to partner with Feed Bali to deliver food to the most vulnerable families in Bali. My friends and I have donated to them before and I really believe in their pure mission to help Bali and meticulous process and work ethics to do it. They work with the local leaders of the villages to identify most in-need families, buy food from local markets directly, deliver them by hand and document every step and little detail.
My goal is to raise $2,800 for Feed Bali before my 28th birthday on 11 September 2021.

I have also arranged a trip with my friends to collect a portion of the food from the fund we will raise to deliver it ourselves to a local village in Sidemen (depending on the restrictions). I'm hoping by doing this directly, I can further raise more awareness for my friends on the incredible blessings for the life we have in Bali and reminder to always pay it forward to those who are not as fortunate.
So please donate to my fundraiser -- $30 is what's needed to feed a family of four for two weeks but whatever you can give is a huge help. The team also buys from local markets directly so your impact doubles by also supporting local economy through your donation. 100% of the fund raised will go directly to Feed Bali (minus Stripe's payment fee); my friends and I will take part in distributing a portion of the food to the village and I'll keep you posted on the impact of your kindness through this page.
The best gift for my birthday is knowing that I've helped make the world a better place and that you took part in that journey with me. I'm so grateful for your kindness and contribution.
Much love,
Edric
About Feed Bali
Feed Bali’s mission is to keep the peace in Bali by providing the most in-need families with food sourced 100% by local Balinese farmers— all without anyone having to ask for help.
Working with leaders of each village, we identify the families hit hardest by COVID-19 related unemployment. We then deliver a nutritious care package to last each family for 2 weeks.
